My peoples at Def Jam, yes I have a few spies, have just called me to inform me that the NYC office of the fleeting label have been closed due to an surprising case of bedbugs. According to my sources, the entire office, floors 27-30th floors have been shutdown for the weekend.
Wikedpedia defines bedugs as the following:
Small, elusive, and parasitic insects of the family Cimicidae. They live strictly by feeding on the blood of humans and other warm-blooded animals. The name ‘bed bug’ is derived from the insect’s preferred habitat infesting houses and especially beds or other common areas where people may sleep.[1] Bedbugs, though not strictly nocturnal, are mainly active at night and are capable of feeding unnoticed on their hosts.
Largely eradicated as pests in the United States in the early 1940s, bedbugs have been resurgent in the past decade to near epidemic proportions.
There’s no word as to how long the offices will be closed. But I hear everyone is grossed out beyond belief.
