The ladies of “The View” talked Sandra Bullock, and her Oscar win for her role in “Blind Side”. Vanessa Williams sat in for Sherri Shepherd and wasted no time in rustling some feathers over the controversial tone from the hit film. Many African-American’s are upset with the message from movie that’s based on a true story.
If you’re not familiar with the story, a wealthy family from the Memphis suburbs takes in a black kid with no education who they find roaming the streets and eventually become his family. Great story right? Well not everyone thinks so.
Vanessa Williams comments caused a stir with the ladies as she down graded the film by saying, “another white family saaaaves the day!” But does she have a point? Check the video above and decide for yourselves.
Personally, I loved the film. I didn’t find myself being uneasy by anything from it. Perhaps the world should stop focusing so much on the unimportance, and focus on the genuine nature from spirit to the next. Just my two cents.
