A big congratulations is in order for former NFL player, and Superbowl winner, Micheal Strahan. After taking turns sitting next to Regis Philbin’s successor Kelly Ripa in the new revamped “Live w/ Kelly,” off and on for months, it’s being rumored that the Subway spokesman has been tapped to be the permanent fixture on the show.
According to TMZ, Strahan’s announcement will be made when Kelly returns from summer hiatus in September. Strahan’s rep was seen outside the building on 67th and Columbus a short time ago grinning from ear to ear.
The 6 foot five athlete joins a small few of African-Americans on morning television, and the first African-American to become co-host of the long running daytime program. As you all know I was selected in the first round of “Live w/ Kelly Coast to Coast Co-Host Competition”. And though I didn’t get the ultimate prize, I was definitely channeling my inner Micheal seeing as though we’re around the same size and black.
Congrats Micheal. It couldn’t have happened to a better person. Um..I’m assuming.
