With the BET Awards moments away, I figured I start the BET blogs a little early this year. And would you look at that, I’ve got some disappointing news already.
The internet rumor was that rap sensation Drake was to announce his official label home at Universal, parent company to Cash Money Records and Young Money. [I wonder if Akon found a way to climb on to project to in some way. I'm just sayin]
But according to the BET blogger over at BET.com, that’s probably not going to happen.

You probably won’t see Drake announce his label home since I pretty much did it for him on this side of town. Not trying to burst his “Surprise I signed with..” bubble, but that information pretty much fell into my lap so I had no choice but to let it ooze all over the BET Awards Blog. Was I wrong?? Wouldn’t care if I was.
I don’t know anyone who would think that a new rapper announcing who he’s sigining with is remotely interesting. Shit at this point if you’re not shouting, “I’ve sold two million albums,” who gives a f*ck?!
