The new premium video channel site Vevo officially launched tonight and everybody and their momma was in the building. Mariah Carey, Shania Twain, that damn Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Young Jeezy, Rihanna, the old ass heads from the music biz Clive, Tommy, LA and Jimmy and a whole lot more.
Check the flicks.

Mimi and her boobage. Oh and fly ass boots.

Ciara made a rare appearance. Word is she’s hard at work on the follow up to her failure, Ciara: The Evolution. Not really feeling the dress. But whatever.

The old geezers in the game. Two of which are no longer trailblazers making their labels any money.

Mary and 50 Cent

Lady Gaga looking crazy as usual.

So there’s Q-tip.

TLC’s Chilli held a special event at Charles Mathis mansion in ATL a couple of days go celebrating something – I’m sure for what exactly. I was supposed to attend this event to cover it for my new TV show, but I didn’t get the memo that it was a black tie affair.
But thanks to the homie Freddyo, here are some pics from the party. Chilli’s got the blogz buzzing cause boxing champion Floyd Maywheather was all up on Chilli like white on rice. Could they be dating?
It’s doubtful that they are because wouldn’t that make her new VH1 show kind of pointless? Sidebar, who knew that Floyd was so short. I mean he barely clears Chilli and we all know she’s tiny.
I’m sorry, but Floyd aint whopping my ass. Suddenly I feel confident enough to get in the ring and challenge him for his belt. [So kidding]
Anyway, Mayoral elect Kaseem Ried with the “Cusp Leadership Award” from Music is My Business and Enchanted PR. Q Parker (112) and singer songwriter Cri$tyle kicked off the event with what I hear was a beautiful collaboration.
Kasim Reid, Chilli, Charles Mathis, William Packer getting their model on.
Roy Jones, Jr. new group known as 3-D. Clearly the young girls and boys are about to have a new group to fawn over [get over it, it's 2009]. Check back for my interview with these guys next week on Gyantunplugged TV.

BMI saluted the world’s premier R&B, rap and hip-hop songwriters, producers and publishers tonight at its annual Urban Awards. BMI President & CEO Del Bryant and Catherine Brewton, Vice President, Writer/Publisher Relations, Atlanta, hosted the ceremony at Frederick P. Rose Hall, Home of Jazz at Lincoln Center, Broadway at 60th Street, New York City.
Hip-hop titans T-Pain and Lil Wayne shared the prestigious Songwriter of the Year prize, as trendsetters Polow Da Don and Kanye West both earned Producer of the Year titles. Song of the Year honors went to Jordin Sparks’ “No Air,” written by Erik Griggs, while Universal Music Publishing Group garnered yet another Publisher of the Year crown.
The capstone of the night’s festivities was the presentation of the BMI Icon Award to George Clinton, whose achievements were celebrated with an all-star musical tribute, featuring performances by Cee-Lo Green, who delivered “One Nation Under a Groove”; Parliament/Funkadelic’s Bootsy Collins, who performed “Atomic Dog”; Janelle Monáe who performed “Flashlight”; and Dallas Austin, Big Gipp and Outkast’s Big Boi, whose medley of “(Not Just) Knee Deep,” “Tear the Roof Off the Sucker (Give Up the Funk)” and “Up for the Down Store” was the jaw-dropping conclusion.
Shouts to Marlene T. Meraz for the info.

Kiddunot.com was on hand for Kim Kardahian’s Miami boutique opening Wednesday night. Special correspondent Kodak was on hand to get Gyantunplugged.come some top notch photo’s from the affair.
A success indeed! Just one day after we learned the Kardashians’ new Dash boutique had been defaced, Kim K., along with her two sisters Khloe and Kourtney, were all smiles Wednesday night. The girls threw a launch party for their new South Florida boutique at The Clevelander on Miami Beach–and I was there to party with them. It was an awesome turn out & these girls are not Hollywood, contrary to popular belief, they are down to earth.

Michelle Obama and Oprah Winfrey were picture perfect at last night’s Time’s 100 Most Influential people.
Oprah, Whoopi and Suze Orman were all smiles for the camera. Whomever the lucky photographer is who snagged this photo probably doens’t realize the value of this pic because it’s been rumored for YEARS that Oprah and Whoopi simply do not get along.
I hear the tension from the set of their movie “The Color Purple” still carries with them today. And for those who are staring at the computer screen crazy, notice how Whoopi wasn’t apart of Oprah’s Legend’s ball.
The way my mind works, this picture is a blatant message to Beyonce that her man is ready to be a daddy [Jay-Z taking in a game at Staples Center as he watched the Lakers take on the Rockets.]
Ciara, and Kim K Hennessy Black launch event at the World Trade Center. Sigh, why do we care about Kim K like we do?
Gabrielle Union partied it up at Hollywood’s Bar Momount for for Cinco de Mayo.
Damn, that Rihanna. She’s walking sex with those boots right there OMG.
Models Selita Ebanks and Jessica White helped celebrate Bourgeoisie Shoes affair last week at the boutique in Harlem. Shout out to Nicole Garner of The Garner Circle!
