Party Plug: “Page 06 Birthday Affair” for DJ Trauma & Saptosa Foster – 6/16

Thursday, June 10th, 2010

World Famous Superfriends member DJ Trauma & Publicist to the stars Saptosa Foster have joined forces to celebrate their birthday extravaganza.

Billed as a “Page 06 Birthday Affair,” the cleverly themed event is billed to be scandalous and gossip-filled — my kind of party.

Of course it would be frowned upon if I posted the party location, but I trust dedicated groupies will discover where its going down soon enough.

You already know I’m gonna be in the building.

Party Plug: @OfficialChilli Hosts Gold Room W/ @LTLLine

Saturday, April 10th, 2010

OK now y’all know I must REALLY fux with ATL music legend Chilli of TLC because the for the first time in almost four years I am posting something Alex Gideon connected.

But seeing as though I’m a suporter of Chilli’s movement, I’m laying down my blogging sword to let you all know that if you’re truly trying to get your party on this Monday — and haven’t spent all your check trying to slay the hussies of Atlanta — put a little class in it and come out to the where the reall party is going to be at.

Now you already know how AG Entertainment is, so just have your B plan on the back burner should the presence of Chilli send the crowd into an extreme overload. Tell em Gyant sent you if they give you any sh*t. On second though perhaps not — it might hurt NOT help your situation. LOL!

Party Plug: @TheGarnerCircle Hosts Private Soiree For Her New Book “Are You In, Inc” Tonight!

Wednesday, April 7th, 2010

The ultimately fabulous Nicole Garner, who’s the most celebrated and top notch P.R. and Lifestyle Marketing Guru in Atlanta, and her team are coming together tonight to put together a personal, yet classy affair in the spirit of publishing.

The branding specialist to the stars, has been on her grind not only putting together wonderful events for the likes of Moet Chadon, Puffy and Bourgeoisie, but she’s surprisingly found the time in her uber-busy schedule to put together another passion of hers. She’s now a published author.

Her new book “Are You In? Inc.” focuses on how aspiring publicists who wish to have a life of hustle, grind — and yes parties, can successfully achieve their goals without having to experience the avoidable pitfalls in the world of publicity.

Nicole Says:

“This is the book I wanted when I was twenty- two years old and jumping into the world of publicity, wide – eyed and bushy tailed. After my PR course work in undergrad, I had the opportunity to take an amazing program at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, which specifically focused on fashion PR. That program fueled my thirst for more specific oriented knowledge on the “softer side” of PR.

After many years of first- hand experiences, ground breaking campaigns, and my fair share of horror stories, looking back I realized that process did not have to be so long and tedious, so I vowed that someday I would gather everything that I learned and share it with those who shared in this unexplainable adoration for the profession of publicity.”

Tonight Garner will host a private soiree for the release of her new book, which of course Gyantunplugged.com will be in the building. If you were one of the lucky Tastemakers and or celebrities to recieve the prestious invitation, I’ll see ya there.

If you aren’t then I suggest you rush out and cop her new book “Are You In, Inc” to get your PR game up.

Party Plug: @OfficiallChilli “What Chilli Wants” ATL Party

Wednesday, April 7th, 2010

Yes: It’s happening in Atlanta today. No: I can’t tell yo where. But….

TLC’s Chilli on Wednesday, April 7th from 4pm to 7pm at in Atlanta. Instead of a large public premiere, it was Chilli’s desire to do something more intimate with special guests and friends along with the Atlanta media. We will premiere the first episode of her show, “What Chlli Wants” and then Chilli will do a brief Q&A regarding the show which will air April 11th on VH1.

As most of you know this has been a labor of love for her entire team and we are extremely proud of the finished product and of Chilli for being such a wonderful example during this entire process.

..groupies make your calls and try to crash if you dare. Ha!

Party Plug: African American Dance Review 2 @ Rialto Center For The Arts!

Thursday, February 4th, 2010

Back my popular demand!!

The African American Dance Review Season II production (The Progressive Realization of Dreams) will take place on January 28-31, 2010 and February 4-6, 2010 at the historic Rialto Center for the Arts – Georgia State University in Atlanta. All proceeds will benefit the CFED Foundation.

The production will consist of approximately 12 performances (or scenes) and will cover multiple genres of African American dance. This visual narrative will birth in its motherland of Africa and will visit its many eras found in the Savoy Club; Congo Square; Gospel arenas and disco. A tribute is paid to many of the creators, mothers and fathers of dance while the finale will fuse these many elements together to create the cultural movement that we witness today.

During intermission, the audience will have the opportunity to witness a presentation from AADR beneficiary, Teach for America. During this time, we will further introduce spoken word, another example of how the African American oral tradition influences modern American popular culture. Spoken word artists employ the same techniques as African American preachers including movement, rhythm, and audience participation.
