Wretched Whore Scoop: Is @Shanell_SnL Pregnant With Lil Wayne’s Seed?

Tuesday, February 9th, 2010

On June 13th 2009 I reported on a story about Young Money’s Shanell creeping with Lil Wayne, while he was still in a relationship with Nivea. The eccentric “artist” publicly denied such claims, but that didnt stop the hood rock and roller from taking public pictures of an imtimate nature with the most popular MC in the game currently.

So funnily enough when a rumor fell on my desk today that Shanell is preggers by Lil Wayne, I knew I had to post it.

Mediatakeout.com [I know, but lets move on] is reporting that the Young Money family could possibly be expecting another bouncing bundle of joy – and right before Lil Wayne’s one year bid at Rikers Island for illegal gun possession.

Apparently Shanell has been DESPERATELY trying to get pregnant by Mr. Cater and they’ve been allegedly trying for months to make it happen.

This bit of news is not at all surprising considering this chick’s obvious and calculated choices these past few years. Once showing a promising career Shanell’s recent antics have been as predictable as Kim Porter. I can smell an opportunist desperate for a lavish lifestyle and guaranteed paycheck from a mile away.

Only time will tell if Shanell is nothing more then a groupie with slight musical talent.  To be safe lets give her 9 months.

ATL Blog: Shawty Lo and Lil Wayne Shoot “WTF” Video!!!

Wednesday, January 27th, 2010

Yesterday Lil Wayne and Shawty Lo shot a video for Wayne’s new video “WTF” at Taste off Peter Street in Atlanta. I was pondering whether or not to run and catch an interview for Gyantunplugged TV, but I couldn’t make it out that way. Thankfully enough for us all super-photographer Freddyo snagged some photo’s from the shoot that just wrapped moments ago.

Per Freddyo.com:

Shawty Lo is working overtime this year shooting his second video with an all-star line-up within a month.  He shot the video to his single “Atlanta, GA” with The Dream and Ludacris at the top of the month and last night, he teamed up with Lil Wayne for his new single “WTF”.  Shot by the same director as “Atlanta, GA”, Mr. Boomtown, Shawty Lo is gearing up to release a new mixtape with DJ Scream “I’m Da Man 3″, while he puts the finishing touches on his sophomore album I Am Carlos.  Expect cameo appearances in the video from Rocko, members of Young Money, D4L and more.

Check out Freddy.com for more stills or KarenCivil.com. And check below for some video scored from Exclusiveaccess.net

Industry Bit: U2, Britney Spears and Lil Wayne Top Concert Earners of 2009, Beyonce Nowhere On The List!

Monday, January 11th, 2010

While the Grammy’s and the industry as a would lead you to believe that Beyonce’s last album was a success, the LA times – and Gyant- knows better. The list for the top grossing tours of 2009 has been released, and though acts like U2, Britney Spears and Lil Wayne soared by raking in millions in concert tickets, Beyonce’s “I Am….” was total failure.

According to the LA times here’s the sales ticket breakdown:

U2 was the only act to cross the $100-million mark last year, and its nightly average at the box office pummeled the competition, at nearly $7.7 million per show. Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, which tallied nearly $95 million from 58 shows, follows U2 at No. 2 in Pollstar’s ranking. But the hard-charging New Jersey outfit also drew more than 1 million fans to those shows, one of six tours to cross that threshold last year.

Compare that with 2008, when only one act — country star Kenny Chesney — topped 1 million in total ticket sales.

Elton John and Billy Joel’s ever popular joint tour placed the pair at No. 3 last year, with a box office gross of $88 million in 31 performances. Britney Spears’ Circus tour helped the erstwhile teen pop queen rebound from her personal and professional travails, placing her at No. 4 with a total take of almost $83 million.

She came in ahead of veteran Australian rock band AC/DC, which rounds out Pollstar’s top 5 with just under $78 million from 47 shows.

The only hip-hop act to make the top 50 is rapper Lil Wayne, who brought in $32.1 million in 58 shows, a feat he’s unlikely to repeat in 2010 given the one-year prison sentence he’s facing after pleading guilty in October to attempted criminal possession of a weapon. LA Times

This new information is in stark contrast to Beyonce’s wikipedia page which says:

After nearly 40 performances, the tour become the twelfth highest grossing concert of 2009, earning over $30 million dollars. By the end of September, the tour grossed over $50 million dollars. [Wikipedia]

I’m confused, if Beyonce’s concert did as well as it claims then why was it not recognized by the reputable publication?  Hey I just ask the questions people. Lets see if a journalist worth their own salt will inquire with the Pop diva.

Lil Wayne’s ‘Rebirth’ Pushed Back Again!

Monday, January 4th, 2010

Picture 17

Though Wayne’s new album “Rebirth” is clearly DOA, a lot of the bullshit surrounding it is still alive and kicking.

Though no reason has been given for the delay, the rock-inspired album is available online due to a major eff up at the hands of Amazon.com.

Personally, I don’t know why one would want to hear Wayne tinkering around with a guitar. but to each is own.

How many pushbacks is that now? I’ve lost count.

Wayne’s “Rebirth” Leaked To 500 Amazon.com Consumers 2 Months Early!

Tuesday, December 22nd, 2009

lil-wayne-house-of-8f577b11

Universal Music Group is scrambling every since their star artist’s prolonged rock release took a leak into retail stores and 500 fans possession.

Universal Music Group has repeatedly delayed the Cash Money / Universal Motown effort since last spring, and it now set to finally be released on Feb. 1. Billboard writes that about 1 million copies of the album have been manufactured, and about a third of those have been sent to retail accounts.

Representatives for the Universal Music Group and Amazon.com did not respond to requests for comment.

The first single to emerge from “Rebirth” was “Prom Queen,” which Billboard notes has sold 725,000 copies. More recently, the album’s “On Fire” and “Da Da Da” were officially released. “On Fire” has yet to penetrate any major charts, but Billboard reports that it has sold 6,000 downloads since its Dec. 6 release.

Plug Into The Scene: Cash Money/Young Money Rolls Through Atlanta, Birdman Blesses Jay Sean W/ Black Diamonds Dog Tags!

Gyant1

Clothing For Gyant Provided By Cavi Clothing

Yesterday Young Money records steamed rolled through the city of Atlanta to do some press. And, of course you already know I had to come out for GUTV

Patchwerk Studio’s was the location, as Birdman, Slim, who ironically is more lanky then anything, Mack Maine and recording artist Jay Sean.

Jay opened up about his splash onto the American charts with his silky, sultry, smash “Down” [featuring Cash Money's Lil Wayne] the dynamics of music and overall hip-hop culture in the states and abroad, and his refusal to get caught up in the party scene to sell his music.

While interview Jay, both Slim and Bird crashed my interview to give Sean major props for being apart of their roster and team, by blessing the UK star with his very own Young Money dog dogs, that were dripping in black and red diamonds.

I also chopped it up with President of Young Money Records Mack Maine to try and get down the bottom of what really happened to Omarion, and if Wayne is going to have to cut his dreds when he does his 12 month bid.

Stay tuned for what everybody had to say on GUTV next week.

Check out some of the of the photo’s below.

Video: Chris Brown “I Can Transform Ya,” Rihanna Drops New Album Cover!!

Wednesday, October 28th, 2009

Chris Brown has released the video to his new single “I Can Transform Ya”.

Clearly the popular animation and motion picture franchise “Transformers” was an inspiration as Chris definitely steps up his visual game to bring us all something a tad innovative.

Too bad the errors of his past continue to overshadow his work. Though I like the video, the actual song has yet to grow on me.

Am I alone in that?

Check out Rihanna’s new album cover here. Do we love it?

Lil Wayne’s Going To Jail….

Lil Wayne Arrest

So what; T.I. goes to jail for a few months and now its a trend?

According to Allhiphop.com the rap du jour known as Lil Wayne has made a surprise plea deal and is headed to jail to answer for possessing a .40 calliber weapon on his tour bus awhile back.

Per AHH:

Lil Wayne will be forced to plead out to a jail term in New York City on Thursday, according to sources with AllHipHop.

The rapper is expected to accept an 8-month bid in jail over his alleged involvement with a loaded .40-caliber pistol gun found on his tour bus in 2007 while in New York.

The 27-year-old now faces 15 years in jail for each count of criminal weapons possession and criminal possession of a loaded weapon.

“Wayne is going to plead guilty,” a source close to the case AllHipHop, stressing that this was definitely going to happen. The rapper pleaded not guilty at press time and has yet to make any such public declaration. “The date is coming up and he’s going to do it tomorrow.”

Wayne is rumored to be willing to accept the deal to avoid a long term in jail over the gun. The same source said the jail time will begin in February of 2010 under the terms of the deal. “If he doesn’t plead, he goes to jail for a long time,” the source said.

OK, maybe one. WHAT IS THE MATTER WITH YOU PEOPLE??

Here’s yet another example of why I’m glad I don’t have any kids. How can I possibly compete with these rappers, who are role models whether they like the title or not, who make going to jail seem like a badge of honor.

Sigh.

Video: Omarion Talks Young Money Dismissal, And New Independent Label!

Monday, October 12th, 2009

Dropped recording artist Omarion rolled through Bigboi’s radio show to shove us more bullsh*t. Apparently O had an epiphany months into his new contract with Wayne’s Young Money Records and decided to create his own label in an effort to become a successful independent artist.

And in a shocking revelation, it seems O compares himself to James Brown, Michael Jackson and other top American music icons.

You have to check the video out above.

New Music: Chris Brown, Lil Wayne and Swizz Beatz “Can Tranform Ya”..Or At Least They Hope So!

Wednesday, September 30th, 2009

hiphopmediatraining-252694019-1254265870

Clearly Chris Brown is more focused on his singing career then handling those aggressive demons that got him picking up condoms off the side of the street [I'm just sayin'].

The embattled singer has dropped his official first single for his upcoming album, Graffiti called ” I Can Transform Ya”. The uptempo track was produced by Swizz Beats, and he’s also featured on the track along with Lil Wayne.

Personally I don’t like it. The lyrics are the same ole same ole. And furthermore I’m gonna need for CB to chill out on all the flossin’. I mean he’s still in the dog house as it relates to public opinion.

But what do you all think?
