Gyant Unplugged

The cracks in Kanye West’s budding empire are beginning to show. First the A list celebrity abruptly canceled his highly publicized tour with Gay Icon Lady GaGa. And now his budding new clothing line has officially been put on ice – PERMANENTLY.

With the exception of Sean John, Akoo and Cavi Clothing, “celebrity” clothing lines have never made clothes for the Gyant’s of the world, so I’ve never given many of them much stock. So you’ll have to pardon my ignorance on how they ultimately work.

According to Complex Magazine:

Surely the habitually trendsetting guy who shops enough to speak Italian would put out one of the dopest rapper-helmed fashion lines ever, right? Wrong…sort of. While ‘Ye supposedly plans to release a collection under his own name in the near future, reports surfaced yesterday saying that Pastelle is officially no more, leaving us with nothing but a series of unfulfilled announcements and public sightings of Mr. West rocking pieces from the line.

No word yet from Ye on why the line suddenly crashed and burn, but I think the events of late probably had something to do with it. But then again probably not.

Kids let the error of Ye’s ways be the lesson. Humble yourself or the world WILL DO IT FOR YOU!
