Eminem Caught Lip-synching At Scottland Performance?

Wednesday, July 14th, 2010

Eminem fans are pissed over accusations that the great white rap hopeful was caught lip-synching at last weekend’s T in the Park Festival in Scotland.

During Em’s performance of “Love the Way You Lie,” several sources say that you can clearly watch the Detroit rapper faking the words. Judging by the video above I will admit that something’s not right.

But what the hell do I know? I’m merely a vessel for the people. Thousands still showed up so clearly people didn’t care.

Def Jam is about get honored – Hip-Hop style.

VH1’s popular ‘Hip-Hop Honor’s’ franchise is about to pay homage to the label that brought hip-hop to the masses as well as birth some legendary acts like LL Cool J and of course Jay-Z.

The music event will tape from the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) Howard Gilman Opera House in Brooklyn, New York, and air on VH1 on Tuesday, October 12 at 9:00 PM ET/PT.

VH1’s Hip Hop Honors 2009 celebrates the 25th Anniversary of Def Jam in a show filled with the stars of this venerable label, as well as funny, painful and inspiring stories from its most renowned creators. Hosting for the third time is “’30 Rock’s” Tracy Morgan.

Generations of hip hop will bridge the gap for one exceptional night to set it off with the original style and flavor that sparked and inspired the evolution of this now global music phenomenon.

Previous celebrations have honored hip hop luminaries who broke new ground and propelled the genre into the true cultural phenomenon that it has become. Last year’s honorees included Cypress Hill, De La Soul, Naughty by Nature, Slick Rick and Too $hort. And this years line is by far the most impressive to date.

Tracy Morgan returns as host and celebrating 25 Years of Def Jam will be performances by a superstar lineup including: DMX, Eminem, Fabolous, Gym Class Heroes, Ja Rule, Kid Rock, Ludacris, Mary J. Blige, Method Man, Onyx, Public Enemy, Redman, Rick Ross, Scarface, The Roots, Trey Songz, Warren G and Young Jeezy.

Audio Scoop: Drake, Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Eminem Team Up ‘Forever’, Too Bad It’s Forgettable!

[Chirbit "Forever" Here]

Just hours after word broke that Wayne, Drake, Eminem and Kanye had joined for a new super collabo for King James new movie, “More Then A Game”, the track has leaked online. The homies over at New Music Cartel are proudly responsible for the leak.

Too bad I’m not proud of the overall presentation of said track. Forever, reached for higher heights vying for a classic record, but unfortunately the limit is the sky for this tune. The production is ‘Eh’ at best and the lyrical delivery from all but Eminem left much to be desired. Plus no disrespect to Drake, but I’m gonna need him to stop taking Trey Songz’ hooks cause we’re beyond meritocracy at this stage in the game. When I hear the Canadian actor sing I suddenly feel like I am a high school talent show.

But just as I was about to fall asleep as I listened to hip-hop’s current greats try their hardest at making the unworkable work, Eminem came in like a Redbull and got me rocking my head for a full 30 seconds.

Clearly in this case for Kanye and Wayne lightening did not strike twice. It’s OK. Dust yourself off and try again.

Music Scoop: King James Enlists Drake, Lil Wayne, Eminem and Kanye West For Historic Callabo!

Hip-Hop heads rejoice!

Blogger Karen Civil has blown the lid off new collabo that’s got the streets buzzing.

At this point in his career, there isn’t much Lil’ Wayne hasn’t seen or accomplished. Well, except for one thing, record a song with Eminem. By all accounts, that streak may soon be over. Their first collaboration, entitled “Forever”, will be on the soundtrack to the highly anticipated documentary,”More Than A Game.” Aside from Wayne and Em, the Boi-1da produced record will also feature two of today’s most talked about artists, Kanye West and Drake.

While Friday has been the speculated date for its release, the record will indeed surface sometime this week. One thing that is set in stone, however, is the quality.

“The record was mastered this past weekend and honestly it sounds better than ever,” said Young Money President Mack Maine. [Source]

Clearly the entire industry is behind Drake being the next great rap hope in the game. Let see if these guys make beautiful music together that will ‘Sound Better Than Ever”.

With such heavy hitters attached to the project it could go either way.

Eminem To Mariah Carey: “I Got Enough Dirt On You To Murder You!”

Friday, July 31st, 2009

F_200611_november08_153717a

Of course the day I decide to slide off the internet quietly to move into my new place, Eminem decides to go in on Mariah Carey in a MAJOR way.

While Mariah continues to insist that she and Eminem were nothing more then ‘talking’ back in the day, good ole Marshal Mathers continues to say they were way more. And this time he’s got pics.

Well at least that what he says in his new song “Warning”. The Detroit MC is said to be pissed that Mariah Carey is trying to deny their brief tryst.

On one hand I respect Em for keeping it real. But on the other, putting out pictures and voicemails is so below the belt.

I mean its like you can’t do ANYTHING anymore without people trying to embarass you to an almost unrecoverable degree.

SMH @ Mariah. You should’ve let sleeping dogs lie.

And you know Nick is heated. I can almost hear his publicist advising to SHUT THE HELL UP!

When will people learn that getting the last word will get you every time.
