LA was the city to be in this weekend as various parties brought out all the stars. From Nicki sporting the blonde wig, to Lil Wayne scaring the white people, anybody who was anybody was in town for the NBA All star events.

Last week I told you all Ciara was rumored to be dropped from her monstrous record label Jive records. I told you all she was going to spin it.. Well here’s what she’s got to say via Facebook:
This week the net has been a buzz of the rumor that I have been dropped from my label. At this point that rumor is false.. It is true that I have asked and I pray that my label will release me. I have had some great times and success with my label, but sometimes like all great things, its at that point where I feel we don’t share the same views on who I am as a artist. The past two albums have been very frustrating for me. At times there were songs I chose to lead a project and I was ignored! This project, I even tried to get Gimmie Dat started I spent tens of thousands of my own money only to hear the radio pds tell me my label didn’t want the song played. I even spent more than one hundred thousand dollars out of my pocket on the video to bring my vision to it and still no label support. I do understand that some labels are not financially supporting their artists and I have become one of them. You, my fans, know that I strive to do my best to deliver to my you the best songs and creative vision I possibly can. I’m dedicated to my music, performance and to my fans! I’ve tried to be a team player with the label only to have compromised what I truly believed.. And was not given the right opportunity to promote and inform my fans of the release of this album..I have so much of me as a artist I still want to give to the world and my fans. A release would allow me to go be creative with people who care and understand me as a artist. In a short time, I will be able to bring to you a new music energy and a visual excitement! Thank you so much for standing by me through the good, bad, and the confusion. I love you all.
And there I was minding my own business and tweeting about random nothingness, when I saw an interesting tweet from So So Def recording signee Jola Da TrunkBoi [don't trip on the name he's very dope, but anyway] saying the following:
Though there’s been no official announcement you can almost hear Cici’s publicist typing up a press release feverishly to spin this in her direction. Throughout history the amount of artists that have admitted to being dropped, which is essentially like being fired, I imagine could fit on the head of a shiny nickle. So if the “shocking” event did occur, trust and believe it’s going to be spun that our once Atlanta Princess is choosing to leave rather then face the truth that some of the following errors were made:
Leaving Jazzy Pha
Leaving Philana Williams
Abandoning the signature signature sound that made her “Ciara”
Not paying Ground Rush on that video they shot for you [oops]
A failed movie [Momma I wanna Sing anybody]
Trying to become Beyonce (or at least appearing to trying to be like Beyonce)
The list can go on and on.
Sorry Cira, you know i love ya [you know I do] but you missed a golden opportunity to extend your career to make something really big and long lasting. And I’m sure the coup-de-grace to your fledging career had to be that recent public spat with your former beau on twittee [that's 50 Cent peoples]

In yet another example of how twitter is anything but a fun place to be when you are public PUBLIC figure, I turn you all to a public spat between former besties Ciara and 50 Cent.

Personally I’m trying to understand with all the tweeting on from their mobile phones, why they couldn’t have picked up the phone and handle this ish privately. *Kanye Shrug*
Alanta’s own Lala Vasquez and Ciara have come together to spread a message to the struggling gay/bisexual/transgender youth called “It Get Better”. In the video Ciara and Lala express the understanding of how difficult high school can be.
Normally I’d tear this ghetto ass PSA apart. I mean for me the message would be a lot better if they through a little money at production. However, since this message is positive I won’t go there.
Anyway kids if you are gay and struggling let Ciara LaLa..and hell even me let you all know that school is just a blip on the meter of life and it does get better. Honestly.
