When word broke yesterday that former superproducer/arist Teddy Reily of Blackstreet and Guy issued a beatdown on his daughter, intially I thought it wasn’t worth talking about. However, after now ascertaining all the facts, I couldn’t have been more wrong.
OK, so for those of you who don’t know, T.R. flipped out on his 18 year -old daughter Taja. Apparently, Taja isn’t pleased that Reily is dating a woman around her age and took it to twitter to air our her grievances. Reily wasn’t happy at the blatant disrespect and bedlam ensued.

Award-winning producer Teddy Riley is not only restrained from coming within 100 yards of his daughter but seems to be content with allegedly beating her with a gaming device. Just prior to deleting his Twitter account, Riley reportedly said “I did it for a reason, and i would do it again for them to get it. don’t disrespect the hand that feeds you”.
As previously reported, Riley is due in court next month on charges stemming from an alleged attack just prior to Christmas [December 23].
I wasn’t even there and I already know what happend. And while I don’t condone physical violence on any level past the age of 16 years old, I can totally understand Reily’s reaction to the blatant disrespect.
Taja should be very careful because I’m sure poppa Teddy still has some coins left in the bank from his once prosperous career. If I was him I’d cut her off emotionally and finacially for a period of 5 years until she garnered the maturity required to respect her elders – especially her father.
However, we can not overlook the fact that people take twitter WAY too far. It’s getting RIDICULOUS.
