I just don’t know what to say about this one.
Just hours after this country’s first African-American President made history by passing comprehensive reform of the American healthcare system, angry micro-blogger Jay Martin [who is also an African-American] took to twitter to let the world know that he’s going to kill Barack Obama!
In a series of explosive tweets last night, Martin, who according to his Facebook page, graduated from Vatterott College last year with an IT degree and currently resides in Federal Way, WA, claims to be “Socially aware, Deep thinker, Artistic, Hip Hop Aficionado, free thinker, Funny Guy.” Oh, and he really, seriously, honestly, wants to kill President Barack Obama.
Boastful and clearly ignorant to the law, Martin isn’t afraid of the FBI coming to his house over his promise to kill my President. Too bad this idiot doesn’t realize the series of laws that have been broken the minute you use words “kill” and “President” in the same sentence.
According to law 18 USC Sec. 871:
Whoever knowingly and willfully deposits for conveyance in the mail or for a delivery from any post office or by any letter carrier any letter, paper, writing, print, missive, or document containing any threat to take the life of, to kidnap, or to inflict bodily harm upon the President of the United States… shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than five years, or both.
It’s one thing to have older YT people resorting to such heinous acts of rage and racism, but it is quite another to have a young –presumably socially aware, African-American– resorting to such outlandish remarks.
Let’s throw this dude in prison with a couple of Aryan Neo Nazi’s as cellmates and see how tough he is. I bet you he’ll be calling on my President then!
