Yesterday I reported that Atlantic Records star Wiz Khalifa could be possibly about to catch a brick with his new album, “Rolling Papers”. Early CD sale estimates suggested that Wiz was to sale only 6k copies in his first week. But it seems that the information was all wrong as Wiz debut album is the number 2 album in the country selling an impressive 191k units.
Of course Britney Spears has the #1 album with a lesser impressive 278k copies sold. However the shocker has to be Snoop’s latest musical effort, “Doggumentary,” coming in at #8 with 49k copies sold. Not too bad given his impressive legacy in hip-hop but a far cry from his more successful projects. Could this be the message that Wiz is the new snoop? Only time will tell.
