After a year of salivating at the thought of a new Big Boi record, the numerous leaks from “Sir Luscious Left Foot”, that have hit the web as of late, leads me to believe that we’re right on the cusp of hearing yet another fantastic hip-hop album.
And this new track with the man of the hour, Gucci Mane, is so hot that I had to post it, despite my borderline ban of the “So Iccy” King because he’s snubbed me for an interview twice now.
But anyway, the little blog that could [and then did], StragihtFromTheA.com, got the exclusive on this southernlistc rap record. “Shine Blockas” is record dedicated to the haters. And though the topic has become mind-numbing as of late, Big Boi finds a way to make it sound fresh.

I know this song is Big Boi feat Gucci Mane, but Gucci is so fuggin hot right now [pause], that he kind steals the “shine” from Mr. Patton. And from the dude who wrote “So Iccy”?..Jesus, it seems, has a sick sense of humor.
Either way this record is a smash, and it gets me amp’d for BOTH their new albums.
