In yet another example of why I do what I do, Perez Hilton is drawing criticism over his taunts regarding Teyana Taylor – OK fine, he called her bitch, straight up!
It seems the Queen of mean isn’t happy over Taylor’s Vibe magazine [yeap they're back] recent interview where she’s defending woman beater Chris Brown. Before I get to the actual story, I have to inject my personal opinion from the jump.
Perez Hilton has created a very lucrative brand by being nothing more then outspoken asshole. Personally, I love assholes, but one of the things that gets my boxers in a bunch is how Perez can execute such outlandish acts and get away with it while he laughs all the way to the bank. At the end of the day Mario [Perez' G'ovt] completely crosses the line in giving his often times outlandish opinion, yet he remains the toast of Hollywood.
He’s called women bitches, draws dicks on people’s faces, and cocaine in their noses – his way of insinuating someone is gay or on drugs – yet his star continues to climb. But isn’t it interesting that urban bloggers catch more heat from stars and we do NOTHING in the neighborhood of his high-octane, and often times extremely offensive antics. Well except for the angry lesbian with no soul, she’s just the devil incarnate.
I have stars who want nothing more than to whoop my ass just for calling a small few, “Wreched Whores”, which to is funny as hell. But why is that what’s good for the goose isn’t good for the gander???
Why is as a black man am I held to a higher standard just because I’m not white. I’d never see a red carpet at an award show if I fired off such controversial statements like Perez.
In my opinion people should be OUTRAGED that one of today’s most influential, and notable bloggers has called a young starlet in the making a “dumb bitch” for her choice to stand by her friend through this trying time. How does one justify that?
Yet I’m not sensing the outrage. However, let me or another African-American blogger say something in the neighborhood of this and we wouldn’t be able to attend an event for months – in fear of getting hopped on by a number of goons.
While my opinion maybe a little surprising, however I am sick of the double standards. Perez should be publicly chastised and every blogger online should issue a “out of bounds” on our plump Cuban-American.
