Kiddunot.com was on hand last night as Luda Day Weekend continued to take over the city. And apparently you just cant do that unless you make a pit stop through that damn Alex Gideon’s Velvet Room.
We all know the Gyant doesn’t do anything AG so while I was at home watching Showtime’s, “The Big C” Kodak and his crew were poppin bottles with the likes of Chris Brown and Lil Kim. Check the funny video above of Chris — not Luda– having a good time being a kid again.
I’ve been meaning to get to this new song with Cee Lo that’s sweeping the nation. Though GU is in a heavy reconstruction with a brand new site, that’s set to launch VERY SOON, I had to do a blog about it.
Easily the male anthem of 2010, “F*ck You” is racking up digital sales, as well as garnering MILLIONS of hits. While the video above isn’t the actual visuals for Cee Lo’s new smash, its recieving so much popularity, that I haven’t even bothered looking for the original.
Listen, if you have kids usher them out pronto, or plug in the earphones. Many people know that my musical opinion has waned over the years simply because there’s just far too much bad music out there what more can I say? The music of today sucks for the most part. But it’s song like these that remind me why I fux with Cee Lo — and unfortunately the music industry.
Kat Stacks strikes again. And this time its stupid ass DeAndre Way aka Soulja Boy’s turn to take it.
The internet sensation, who gets imitated by damn near every female I know, just put DJ Smurf’s most profitable artist of his career on blast for being a limp dicked coke head. Her words not mine.
The video above lays it all out for you. What I cant figure out for the life of me is how stupid ass male celebs are getting caught out there with such an odd looking loser.
Don’t get me wrong Kat I love you. But this is still some hoe ass sh*t to be pulling on these mofo’s. However on the other hand, if they’re stupid enough to let you do it then who’s really at fault.
Hey at least we know how SB stays so skinny. Allegedly of course.
The homie Big Boi performed a free concert in Miami for Myspace fans at SOBE Live. Rocking to a live band, Antwan Patton ran through an array of hits including material from his current album, Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty.
Trey Songz has dropped his newest video “Bottoms Up” Featuring Nicki Minaj, and it’s interesting to say the least.
First off shoutout to Trey for supporting Ludacris amazing new cognac, Conjure. Secondly, um.., and I hate to say this, but I don’t get the concept. But thankfully for us Trey clarifies it with MTV:
‘Bottoms Up,’ I feel, is a very creative video. [It's] different from the norm, different than what I feel is expected of me and anything I’ve shot for that matter. [Director] Anthony [Mandler] used a lot of different shooting techniques and I think it heightens whatever it is that the song has already. The drive, the vigor, the club anthem, the energy in the record is definitely heightened with this video. It’s as if I’m walking through some kind of funhouse, filled with women and different seductive things.
Nicki Minaj does an excellent job. She comes in and does exactly what I got her on the record for. She comes in and she kills it. I wanted her to make the record different. I wanted her to take it to a different place and that’s exactly what she did. Even in the video, she made a major contribution … from her hair to her outfits to the way she raps and how theatrical she is in her delivery.”
And this is EXACTLY why I didn’t fall for the reality-star Tilla Tequilla’s bullsh*t account of harassment at a recent concert.
According to Tilla, who’s milking every media moment, she was brutually attacked by men at rock event this past weekend. All the mainstream media sites covered it. Personally, I knew there was more to the story so I thought I’d perch and wait for the other shoe to drop.
And of course it did:
Tila Tequila’s juggalo beatdown reaches its inevitable victim-blame phase: Insane Clown Posse says they gave Tila “fair warning” that their fans might assault her.
“We told her about the rumor [that the juggalos would attack her] and she didn’t care,” said insane clown Violent J. “We paid her before the show and assured her that even if things got out of hand, she could keep the money if she had to leave the stage.”
Tila’s treatment was “fucked up,” but she wouldn’t have gotten so fucked up if she’s left the stage. Tila’s post-juggalo media blitz includes interviews, photos of her breasts, and the above paparazzi shoot at LAX upon her return from juggahell.
Kind of makes all the public cries for attention, like walking through LAX sobbing, seem very pathetic right? Listen, if I tell you there’s an issue with security and you still decide to push forward then take your earth darts, and shut up.
I know everyone is still salty with Lebron dissing Cleveland for Miami, and Charles Barkley is no exception. Listen to Barkley go in on Lebron, and doesn’t seem to care about the pesky camera that’s in his face.
*shots fired*
Kanye West is scheduled to perform at this years VMA’s. But don’t worry Ye promises he will not “Taylor Swift” anyone. Anybody nervous? I know I am.
Atlanta was turned upside down this week. Not only was Trey Songz, Monica and Dondria Nicole killing at Fox for the “Passion,Pain and Pleasure,” but N.E.R.D. and Raekwon also killed it downtown with their people.
Thanks to Cannon Kent and Sydney Margetson, I was in the bulding for Trey and Monica’s sold-out concert. While tours tend to bore me these days, I have to admit that I was VERY impressed with ATLien Monica’s set. Look we all know that Mo is a singer STRAIGHT-UP. Nobody looks to Mo for the latest dance moves, and she didn’t even try to herself.
She took me back with all her smash hits from over the years. The spirit of Monica always draws me in, and it was a true honor to witness her captivate the audience.
Trey also performed well. Nobody can deny the fanatics luv for Mr. Songz. I was a tad bit bothered by the fact that Trey’s swagger is that of a rapper — not an R&B singer.
The way he motions his hands like he’s freestyling was redundant. But he did his thing no matter what so I have to give him his props. And while I hate to admit this, it was really good to be around the fans — people who genuinely love artists for what they do on the stage.
All of Atlanta was there including Ciara — who’s currently in town working with Ludaris and N.E.R.D. on some music. I’m assumimg.
Watch the video above of the former princess of crunk & B getting it in with Mrs. Songz.
Don’t forget Trey and Monica will be coming to a city near you very soon. Check your local listings.
