Audio Scoop: Diddy On Mase, “I’m So Tired of Taking So Many L’s!”

20090806seandiddycom_jerritt_c_58063514_wi

The lame ass dude we all call Diddy rolled through Hot 97′s Funkmaster Flex to do more shameless self plugging. Sean opened up about Mase, rap beefs, Red Cafe [snooze], Black Rob and more.

I could have taken the intiative to transcribe what he had to say. But Sean don’t cut me no checks so the work I do for him is limited. Just know that the music mogul continues to flip-flop on his story regarding Mase.

But rapradar.com got the full audio here.

Audio Scoop: Heeeee’s Baaaack! Nelly – “She Got Me”! Plus, MJB Drops Hot Record “I Am”!!

nelly1

Well I’ll be damned, Nelly has swam off the island of washed up rappers and come back with a brand new song and ultimately brand new song.

The track is called “She Got Me” and its freaking hot!

With an 80’s-sampled pop synth rap track produced by J.R. Rotem. It is rumored to be the rough version of Nelly’s first single from the album, which has confirmed to contain features from Janet Jackson, Diddy, Akon, Notorious B.I.G., the St. Lunatics and Usher.

With no hate in my keystokes I give him mad props for this.

Audio Scoop: Beanie Sigel Goes In On Jay-Z, Airs Out Dame Dash As An Embezler, Plus The BS of Roc-A- Fella Records!

Friday, October 30th, 2009

beaniejay

Sigh.

Is it just me has hip-hop become nothing more then a bunch of gimmicks? Beanie Sigel apparently just dropped a new HOV diss record in retaliation to what he claims were shots fired at him from Jay-Z’s new album, Blueprint 3.

Beanie called into Charlamagne Tha God’s Morning Show, WPHI 100.3 The Beat Morning Show to talk about Rocafella, Jay Z, Dame Dash and State Property.

The interview is yet another sad love song, of how a rapper got raped in the game by his record label.

Check out the  interview of Beanie airing out his former crime bosses. Just make sure you don’t overlook all the jail time. It’s interesting how I don’t hear Sigel taking responsibility for that ish. Nor did I hear any self-accountability for not having his own foundation together by admitting he didn’t have a manager or accountant during the Roca days.  I’m just sayin’

But I ain’t gonna lie, I’m salivating at what the hell he knows on Jay that would make,  “Beyonce look at him funny.”

Shouts to Charla for getting the exclusive. Have a listen below.

Artist Spotlight: Dukes of Daville Takes Us To The “13th” Floor W/ Substance!!

Friday, October 30th, 2009

Dukes_nov-3th-invite3

Shouts to Atlanta eccentric hip-hop duo Dukes of Daville for bringing the heat with an eclectic new mixtape they’ve appropriately called “13th Floor”. Modeling their look behind some of musics most influential and groundbreaking groups, who shall remain nameless as to not put Dukes in a box, these two have come together to make some solid music.

In 2006 the Dukes of DaVille were signed to their own record company Trakkaddixx Music with a joint deal with Capital Records. Due to creative differences and lack of artist support the pair left Capital Records in February 2009 and have been working their own music independently ever since.

The Dukes released two mixed-tapes “Millennium Music Mix-tape” in the Fall of 2008 and “We Are Music Mix-tape” in the Summer of 09.

Since they’ve gone independent The Dukes of DaVille have received some major press coverage and they’ve been spotlight artists in publications like; Hip-Hop Weekly, LA Weekly, Allhiphop.com, Ozone Magazine, Fader Magazine, Word on the Streets Magazine, Atlanta Comcast Channel 24, 2 Live Stew (Radio) and several other print and online magazines.

The “13th Floor” has features UGK, Nappy Roots, Streetz, Larry Lace, Big Rec, and J3x. The first single is the title track “The 13th Floor” followed by “Funny Money” and “Lean Back” (featuring Nappy Roots and UGK).

After obtaining so much success and recognition from the previous mixed-tape projects the Dukes intend to offer theirs fans even more good music. This time they will also be offering a dose of political awareness and a shot of hard-core reality.

The new mission of the Dukes of DaVille is to encourage and empower those who seek knowledge and wisdom. “The people need to know about what’s going on in the world. As serious musicians we are responsible for not only making music for our fans to enjoy, but we are also obligated to inform the uninformed” states D.O.D.

Let’s keep it real, the music industry has dumbed-down our though process. Throughout history musical expression has been the fabric to man historical movements, yet now all people are talking about is money, hoe’s and drugs.

Dukes of Daville is a breathe of fresh air. Don’t believe me? Check the download below.

Audio Scoop: Chris Brown Goes In On Oprah AGAIN, “I’m Tight..I’m Very Tight!!”

Wednesday, October 21st, 2009

Chris Maurice Brown talked to Angie Martinez recently on HOT 97 recently about his life post whopping Rihanna’s ass.

But it seems the estranged pop star is “tight” at Momma Oprah for taking Rihanna’s  side in the situation because, according to him, he thought that he had a better relationship with the daytime talk show queen.

Chris goes on to dispute the claims made by Oprah Winfrey that, “if a man hits you once he will hit you again,” by claiming that he will NEVER be that guy in life again.

First off I take issue with CB coming for Oprah in any fashion. Didn’t he get the memo that Momma O is Jesus Christ in incarnate? And secondly, my Pops told me long ago – and I have to agree- NEVER say NEVER.

You just don’t know what you will or wont do in another situation. And that’s just the real.

Will Chris career survive his Oprah taunts? Only time will tell. But though I take my jabs at virtually every celebrity that walks the face of he earth, something inside tells me that other then the lesbian comments we all make about her and Gayle, that she’s kind of off limits for any public negative comments.

Think twice young one. Think twice.

Dope Record Alert: Rihanna – “Russian Roulette”

Tuesday, October 20th, 2009

r-russian-single-5x5-17890

Rihanna’s highly anticipated new song “Russian Roulette” just dropped moments ago. And you know what? It’s not bad.

I mean was I looking for an uptempo edgier record, with a slight CB undertone – sure. But clearly Rihanna and her team are rising above the gossip fray with the perfect pop tune.

Written by Tricky Stewart [or Dream, or hell Ne-Yo - I get confused >> [Read Here To See Why], RiRi goes left when all of us were expecting for her to go right.

This record is clearly for Rihanna’s core audience – women and gay men – so I can already see the “WTF” bubble clouds hovering above all us  hip-hop bloggers.

Hey, I can’t hate. Clearly she’s coming back hard.  Have a listen.

Update: Here’s the instrumental via Rapradar.

Audio Scoop: DJ Mr Rogers And The Party Boys Hits Us With That “Flex”

Sunday, October 18th, 2009

7th-draft

There’s a hot producer out of Texas [yea they haven't fallen off, despite what you've heard] who goes by the name DJ Mr. Rodgers.

The DJ turned artist/producer and has a new single out featuring the Party Boys called “Flex” produced by his production company Da Shit Factory. Rogers has worked with such notable artists like Letoya Luckett, Slim Thug and Hurricane Chris.

Download: “Flex” http://www.zshare.net/audio/67144711fb39b327/

It’s a standard club record, but if I’ve learned anything about this unpredictable business, the simplest records are often times the biggest regional smash.

Rogers has been spinning since the beginning of the Millennium, and is self-proclaimed tech-nerd. His next placement is with another Texas native—Dorrough and the single is called “Walk that Walk.”

Check out the homies discography below.

Artist Spotlight: Tammie Chynn Is Soooo Gonna Be The New Rihanna, Grabs Attention With “To The Floor”

Thursday, October 15th, 2009

n1008992503_30305261_2689

There’s not many artists who I gravitate to immediately, but Tammi Chen is easily one of my most favorite hopefuls. Tami Chynn was born in Kingston, Jamaica.

Her father, Richard Chin, is of Chinese descent with Cherokee ancestry and her mother, Christine Chin is of half Afro-Jamaican and half-British ancestry.

Tammi’s younger sister, Tessanne Chin, is also a reggae fusion singer and former member of the group ‘Mile High’.

I have had the opportunity to meet Tammi on more then a few occasions while working on her album here in Atlanta, GA. The dynamite song-writing duo Rock City introduced me to the outgoing and ULTRA sexy singer.

And thanks to Brian over at Concreteloop I can finally post some music on this chick. Chynn is feverishly working on her debut album, Primadonna.

“To The Floor” was produced by Redone, who’s produced tons of hits for Lady Gaga and I hear is even working with Usher and American Idols Adam Lambert.

Download: “To The Floor”

I fux with Tammie Chynn. Think Rihanna but SEXIER. OMG!!! Whew,
