TV Scoop: Co-Executive Producer of #LAHHATL Carlos King @Kingdomlos Talks About Building & Launching A Brand!

The entertainment industry, and hell much of Atlanta, is truly small. LA, NYC, ATL and beyond — most people seem to know of, or know each other. And the man behind such guilty pleasure shows like “Real Housewives,” “Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta” and “Oprah’s Behind The Scenes,” Carlos King is no different.

I first met Carlos last summer, or was it Spring? I forget. Anyway I met King while on assignment to interview Kandi for VLAD TV. The Atlanta franchise was filming a scene in Atlantic Station for some football inspired casino event. I forget all the details, but King made a lasting impression on me as a no nonsense producer, who could also crack a smile and have a laugh in between takes, unlike many producers in the game I know. So when I got an email today from what I assume is his publicist, Brittany over at Branding Bar, asking me to post an recent interview with the rising uber-Producer I knew I had to show him some luv.

Moving to NYC in 2003 from Detroit, King interned at such hit shows like ABC’s “The View, “20/20″ BET and more. And, landed his first gig as a Producer for BET Style (y’all remember that show with Melyssa Ford (Honda Accord) and Tyga?). After performing well at BET, the Hunter college graduate shifted to Bravo where he continued his passion of getting the job done for the “Real Housewives” franchise. Currently the Co-Producer of cable’s #1 rated show “Love and Hip-Hop Atlanta,” Carlos, gives eager supporters and grinders a birds-eye view into the world of producing reality TV’s most popular shows. Watch as the extroverted self-proclaimed “hard worker,” gives his testimony on getting in the biz and maintaining the hustle to truly rise to the top.

Take some time and watch the video above. Very interesting stuff.
