Though I have been trying my best to ignore the new ATL sensation Mullage, it looks like they are here to stay, well at least for a little while.
The Ground UP’s Charles McCree and my girl Brandi over at Jive have been singing the duo’s praises since the beginning of the summer, but I wasn’t buying it. However after hearing their song, “Trick’n” damn near everywhere, I can no longer over look the obvious. They’re a smash.
Mullage, the duo responsible for Atlanta’s summer anthem “Trick’n” is hoping to transgress their home town appeal to national notoriety. Described by L.A. Reid as a mix of Outkast and The Dream, the masterfully blended mix of hard-body Southside Atlanta representative B-Boi and his smoother than silk Southside counterpart, B-Town, they’re bringing to the scene a collage of R&B and Hip-Hop, a “mullage” if you will, from which they took their name sake.
Expect their album in the 3rd of 4th quarter of this year on Jive Records.
