Over the weekend Atlanta was Gay Pride specific, as Midtown became one big party celebrating tolerance, acceptance and the gays.
In 2009 when so many hip-hop stars refuse to embrace all of their fans, Kasim Reed’s proving to be ahead of the pact by creating an all inclusive campaign. And the beloved entertainment attorney and politician drove that point home by marching in Atlanta’s Pride Parade.

According to the Southern Voice, the gays are torn between Lisa Borders and Kasim Reed, who is endorsed by Rep. Karla Drenner (D-Avondale Estates), the only openly gay state lawmaker. And According to published reports, Kasim has also worked with Stonewall Democrats since he joined the General Assembly in 1999.
With the mayoral race closing in, Reed is pitted second directly behind Mary Norwood. So it’s important for all of us to get out and support the man who’s dead set on bringing change to this great city.
Check out some pictures from Kasim out and about at both the Gay pride parade as well as Rapper/actor Ludacris and Chaka Zulu honoring Reed at STRAITS last week.
